Notes:

Conveyancing fees are based upon the Bermuda Bar Association’s recommended scale of  fees calculated on a declining percentage of value, with increments for specific extras.  Each transaction will vary somewhat according to time taken and difficulties encountered.

Government Stamp Duties are based upon an escalating percentage of value.

There are, in addition, minor Government fees to add.  For example:

                                1)             Planning Search fees: $300.00

                                ii)             Registrar General’s for Registration:  $20-$48 per document

                                The above costs tend to be shared equally between the Vendor and Purchaser.

1)             For Further Charges, add approximately $200.00 to the fee element shown for Mortgages.

2)             Government Stamp Duty on Mortgages or Further Charge loans are standard at ¼ of 1% of the Principal Sum.

3)             Finders’ fees or negotiation fees of up to 2% may be deducted by the Lender from the Principal Sum requested.

4)             These costs are the responsibility of the Borrower/Mortgagor.
